Also... if we just dropped $400 bucks on the older SCJD, do you think we'll have to pay up again to re-cert once the newer version is out there?

Oh well... it's not like the value of the current SCJD will suddenly evaporate. Will keep it for a while and come back later to update it (and SCJP) to 1.4 after getting SCWCD or SCEA.
(resigned sigh and shrug)
