HI you all.... One week ago I passed the SCJP 1.4! I am happy about it!! Now I want to start working towards SCJD Certification. I have been looking in this forum for a while now. I have seen the "max book" quoted a couple times. I wonder if that is the book to get to help you the most. I understand that what you need for the SCJD wont be found in one book. So I might buy a couple. Which one do you think I should buy?

I am thinking about the Max one... (can somebody tell me its full name?) and also patterns design.

I alredy have Kate's book, which If I may say its one of the best programming books I have ever read.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Andree,

Welcome to this forum.

You may like to look at the JavaRanch Reading Material list.

Max's book is "The Sun Certified Java Developer Exam with J2SE 1.4". In my opinion this is the book for SCJD preparation.

Regards, Andrew

Thanks Andrew! I will take a look at the reading material.
I also wanted to have comments and recommendations about the books. So I think I might be getting the Max Book.

I will be seeing you around!

Hi Andree,

So I think I might be getting the Max Book.

"might"? But Max's book is the SCJD must-have!

BTW, welcome to this forum! (I missed your thread when you wrote it).

Regards,

Phil.
