can i write a servlet which is a RMI server, and then run it in tomcat?. if i can, how about the rebind method?... do i still have to run the rmiregistry or i do tomcat have some service that equivalent to rmiregistry?..
It would be a cleaner design to separate your RMI server from your servlet and run it as a separate process. There is no problem with having a servlet connect to a RMI function. There is no substitute that I know of for running the rmiregistry. Bill
