Hi,
Do the J2ME MIDP APIs support JDBC based database connectivity?do you discuss it in the book.

Thanks in advance.

JDBC is supported in J2ME throught third party packages (not in the official spec). Mobile database is a huge topic in the book. I discussed why plain JDBC connection to backend databases is often a very bad idea in mobile applications and how to design effective database applications using the right tools.

Hi Mcgill,
U might want to have a look on this thread, in which Mr.Yuan and I discussed about the JDBC connection and J2ME as well as the best practices used in the book...
