As discussed here, Spring is much, much more than a Web Framework. It is more of a general
J2EE Application Framework. In fact, the MVC piece of Spring is probably the least used piece.
That said, I don't think that Spring should be given an entire forum. Questions on Spring should go in the forum relevant to the abstraction being discussed. For example, if you how questions on how to write JdbcTemplate classes than the question should probably be posted to the
JDBC Forum. If you having questions on using Spring with Hibernate then
you should post to the ORM Forum... and so on.
