hi everybody,

i m new to this forum.i want to take up the SCJP exam.i have basic knowledge of java.how much time will it take to prepare for the exam?
i welcome tips for preparing the exam.please suggest me some good books and online mock exam links.

I bought the following book: Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-035 & 310-027) and took around two months of studying for the exam. There are plenty of mock exams on the Internet, and on here too, also there is a nice game at javaranch involving cattle which seemed to be kind of fun. The thing to remember is to make sure you understand everything, practice by writing your own code, experiment, take mock exams, and well study hard

hi
i cant wait for two months.i want to take the exam next month.is it possible? what are your suggestions for preparation?how much do i have to prepare each day if i want to take the exam next month.

give 2 hrs a day for the prepration . finish the K & B book within 7 to 8 days then take some mock exams and then revise the book again and read 2 min. drill regularly. solve atleast 500 questions before taking exam.
