can anyone tell me how to give a tool tip in a applet.
i'm using JApplets to create the applet.

i have a title idea of javax.swing package

You can add tool tip to objects.

Example:
JButton b = new JButton("DEMO");
b.setToolTipText("This is the demo button");

I'm not sure whether u can set the tool tip for an applet.
Try this -
within the init() method, type this

this.setToolTipText("This is an applet");

Tell me if it does.
