Hi all,
I am preparing fo rthe SCJP 310-055 exam,I have given the mock exams of whizlabs, that is the customised where I scored 90% in the begineers & intermediate level but only 40% in the expert level.
I gave the master exam from the CD of K&B I scored only 50%.
I felt that I am lacking to answer questions of the expert level & very tricky questions.

Can anyone suggest me..what startegy I can follow to gain more marks .... now what should be my stategy to study??
Please someone guide me

Regards,
Prathana

Hi Prathana,

The mock exam software should have told you which topics you scored low in, so I'd advise you to concentrate your efforts on bolstering those areas. And, of course, do go through all the questions you got wrong and make sure you understand why you got it wrong.

If you have more questions about specific topics, feel free to ask here. Good luck!

Thanks a lot kelvin..
I will definitely do that ...If that is suficient it would be fine..Actually I have postponed my exam to december end. and thought of exploring the mock exam sites that are given in java ranch.

Hope I am on the right track to score high marks on the examinations. If something else is also required please tell me.
If I get some revision notes or tips & tricks would be of great help for me.
Regards,
Prathana

It's also very important that you actually write lots of code during your preparation. The SCJP isn't meant to be a textbook memorization exam. The best way to really learn the material is to go ahead and write your own programs to try out all the concepts and clarify your doubts. When I was preparing for the SCJP, I always had an Eclipse window open so that I could do a quick test whenever I read something unclear or got a mock exam question wrong.
