I'm working on a task where I'm going to have to split files that are approximately 1 GB into multiple smaller files and then reassemble them at a later date. I've looked at sample code to do this using the standard API and can implement something along those lines if necessary. Still, it seems like it's such a common task that there may be a library out there for handling that sort of thing.

Can anyone recommend a good open source Java library for file splitting and reassembly?

Thanks,
Joshua Smith
