I work as a contractor and have worked for several companies (referred by different recruiting firms) already. I have a feeling: Whether I can get the project or not heavily depends on which recruiting company refers me.
I am wondering if I need to be careful in the future to find out if the recruiting company has a good relationship with the hiring company. I am wondering if these recruiting companies have some kind of un-open deal with the hiring managers........

It's very common for recruiting firms to have "exclusive" or "semi-exclusive" contracts with certain companies, although it's less common in this economy. You need to decide which recuiting firms you want to deal with.

It's extremely normal for enlisting firms to have selective or semi-restrictive agreements with specific organizations, despite the fact that it's more uncommon in this economy. You need to choose which enrolling firms you need to manage.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
