It has to be put in perspective that more j2ee projects are considered for scalable, reliable systems. They tend to be more high paying compared to .net skill sets(i am saying this in a general sense, some folks with better knowledge and output may be getting payed in either direction)

Isn't .net above Java ?

How would you distingiush between a .NET & a C# job??Isnt the framework one & the same??

Few months back(August 2005) I did some research on job market of J2EE and .NET here is the result which I've posted in this thread.

Java and .Net can be compared now especially after 2005 release.
.Net frame work is powerful and capable for building scalable and robust enterprsie applications.

.Net is invading to Java market as it is always fast to develop application using MS IDE than Java..

Java is again opensource where .Net has software support.

If suppose MS acquires SAP and converts all ERP suite to .Net framework, java has real life threat.

Paywise both are same...
