Given that 10 years ago Java 1.0 had barely been released, and nobody could have foreseen where it is today, I find it hard to predict where it will be 10 years from now. That's true of large parts of IT, of course.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
