JMS Java Messaging Service

I just started reading about this and it seems pretty exciting. Is there anyone out there who is actively using this now? What is your experience? Is it easy to use? Are you transmitting XML with it?

Hi,
Yes we are working on JMS in Weblogic and in MQSeries which has a JMS interface. It is just great. You can download weblogic to see the sample programs and test things out.

The J2EE has a server with an implementation of JMS if you just want to try it out. JMS is amzingly easy to code. Just like JDBC, it has a standard set of interfaces that are very simple to work with.

If you're interested in JMS and XML you should keep an eye on JSR 67, JAXM (http://java.sun.com/aboutJava/communityprocess/jsr/jsr_067_jaxm.html) which is an API for XML messaging.
