Hi guys, I'm new in here. I already contracted as the Java instructor (thanks to my certificate) and I'll teach in about a few weeks later. can you share about your experience in teaching? Did you get nervous when you had to talk in front of people?

Thanks

Congratulations!! and by teaching you will learn a lot as well. It is normal to be nervous initially and you will get used to it.

Just want to share about my experience in teaching Java..

I used to teach Java when I was still studying in my university. One of the main factors that could lead you to be successful in teaching is you should know the programming level of your students. You should know whether they have previous programming experience, what programming language they had learned before. If they learned C++ or other OOP, it will be much easier to you to teach them the basic of Java. If not, you have to teach them the basic of programming first.

Baik-baik, saya baru jadi instruktur Java nich. Apakah anda punya sertifikat Java? Java edisi apa yang paling anda kuasai? sori banyak nanya, soalnya di kampus saya, jarang yang mengerti Java, jadi saya paling seneng kalo ketemu orang yang mengerti Java.

Can you provide some idea of the setting? If an industrial / commercial setting, many of your concerns may be mitigated by the focus provided by a need to get something done. Be sure to manage the 'stuck and getting nothing done' with your best skills. As far as being scared, speaking in front of people is done one way: Focus on what you know best and what you are interested in.

If you go into a terror-lockup, there is only one way out - you have to force yourself. When you feel the first edges of fear, focus on something. Anything. Even if it has nothing to do with the class. Then focus on something in the room, and move the focus from there either onto a student or the subject matter.

In any setting, there will be two groups. Those who will actually do something and those who are " do not have their heart in it " - use that to budget your time.
