How to upload a file using POST method

I Deployed servlet in a TOMCAT WEBSERVER and it is listing on 9000 port and url is
http://localhost:9000/ebxml/trp/Eb\BXMLListener.

I want to write client program using java.net.Socket, using http POST method and i want to upload the file.

can u help me how to follow further bze i find in net all examples are given by using URL or using JSP.
