hello all..i want to ask can i use this class from apache to open connection in a url inside the servlet..i want to use the time out property inside it..if not please tell me about any way to use time out feature with any class

Yes, you can use it from a servlet.

What are you trying to do with the timeout feature?

thanx a lot for answering me..what i try to do is if the url go to it is down or no response the timeout finish the work without make problem to another requests to my servlet
