currently i'm reading a java book that builds a student system too (Agile Java, by J Langr)

as this book follows test driven development techniques, i wonder what's your sense about testing first, testing, testing at all. Do you cover any of these variations in your book?

Hi Jacquie,

I am a relatively new java programmer and I am interested in learning more about a few topics covered in "Beginning Java Objects: From Concepts to Code, Second Edition."

What new features from J2SE 5.0 do you cover? Do you mention Generic Types or the Enhanced for Loop?

How do you cover UML? Does "Beginning Java Objects" use any specific UML modeling tools?

Thanks,
Josh
