Well I thought I would download Jikes and give it a try. My classpath is set correctly for the classes I use to program with on JDK 1.3 in Windows 98. However when I try to use jikes to replace javac it won't find any classes at all. I tried setting the JIKESPATH but it still can't find any classes not even the runtime java classes.
Could somebody help me get jikes working?
Thanks,
Frank

I figured it out. I had to explicity tell it where to find the java core classes like this:
SET CLASSPATH=.;c:\jdk1.3\jre\lib\rt.jar
