How can I close the new Frame which is opened from applet by cliking a button on it. I created frame inner class which implements Window listener and implemented the interfaces in the inner class. Applet opens up the window and show the contents in the frame. But can not close it. When inner class frmae is compiled as an application works fine.

Applets shouldn't need a window listener, they should know how to close on their own. Are you just trying to close the window using the button that's part of the frame in the upper right hand corner, or are you trying to create your own button to do it?
