Hi,

I was wondering if someone might be able to assist me. I am looking for a book or 2 that would help with JSP,JSTL and JSF. My company is in the process of coverting to Weblogic as the development platform of choice and we are in the process of converting some of our older applications that are in ASP and Cold Fusion over to JSP. I am the manager of the group and I do not do all that much programming anymore but I would like to be able to help out in the conversion so I am looking for a book or two that would help me out. My Java skills are very old as I used to do Java coding back in 1999 but was moved to ASP/CF instead as part of my job.

I am going to take a class or two soon but I need to wait for there to be budget money allocated and such for 2005.

I was hoping to read a book or two by the time I took the classes so that I would have an understanding of the Java world in general.

Thanks
Mario

Check out O'Reilly's JSP book, it contains all the technical stuff.
For managers (as well as techies) J2EE design and development by Rod Johnson is a must read, it explains all the pitfalls and advantages of the different technology choices.

The Javaranch bunkhouse has lots of book reviews and links to the book review forum where anyone can give their opinion of a particular book. If you're looking for book recommendations, I recommend you browse the bunkhouse.
