Hurm... we seem to be getting a higher repeat rate in answers lately. Perhaps that's to be expected, as the more posts we have, the more work it is to read the previous ones.

[EFH]: Phish?

Sure. For that matter, Fish (Derek Dick). Seems like a goldfish in a bowl is a little more specific than just "fish", but we haven't seen any better guesses yet, so why not...

[Paul C]: And aren't those guys in white a group of Manic Street Preachers?

Sounds good. I was thinking they look an awful lot like the Polyphonic Spree, but that's more a likeness of the band itself than a visual reference to the name of the band. So Manic Street Preachers it is.

Similarly, the "men in Black" look a lot like the Blues Brothers, but they don't evoke the name "Blues Brothers", so I think that's wrong. And of course Men In Black was a movie, but not a band as far as I know. (Johnny Cash tribute band? Could be.) I think this one's still open.

[Henry]: As for the Styx on the ground, are they "Styx"? or are they "nine inch nails"?

Agreed - NIN. Styx was bothering me because those weren't very convincing sticks, but I couldn't tell what they were. Duh.

Jim,

One of my colleagues thinks it is "The Killers" -- as they look like the killer from a movie. (I forgot the name of the movie that he mentioned)

Another colleague thinks the store near the yellow guy is the "Corner Shop".

Henry: El Mariachi? With sequels Desperado and Once Upon A Time In Mexico? That's the main movie/series I can think of where they use a guitar case rather than the Mafia-stereotype violin case. Though I'm sure I've missed a few.

What about the folks in the middle of the street in yellow and pink leotards? My best guess is Spandau Ballet (spandex ballet). If ballet is what they're doing. It's weak, but better than nothing, I hope.

I did a little Googling and found an answer key for this (spoilsport, I know.) One thing I learned is that about 10-15% is cut off of the left margin of the picture we're looking at, which removes four clues from consideration; the total number you can see is exactly 70 out of 74 in the original.

It took me awhile... Not to look for the answers... ... but to see if I can find a version with more stuff on the left margin as EFH says.
