Just to pass along a little something that has helped me, in case others aren't aware of it. I've often used the "search" option at the top of the page to gather some of the tips that have already been offered here.
It usually yields lots of helpful information, if only to confirm that I'm on a right path.
I'm about to do a Grains search before attacking (ha!) that exercise...
Cheers,
Pauline

Also, it used to be named Assignment 1.6 and for a short period of time Assignment 2.2

That ain't cheatin' that's efficiency!
One could be lazy, though, and start out with the search first, but that's no fun. Usually I try to get something close to a working solution and then see if anyone else has already asked my questions. If there's any code posted I skip right over that.
Besides, it's a way to save the gurus from having to answer the same question a zillion times.
Remember: be good to your gurus.

as they told me in the Navy: "it's not cheating... it's using all available resources."

I agree with you Pauline! Searching is a great way to find answers to questions.
I don't like to post a question unless I know it hasn't been asked before or I can't find related info. I even search other forums for answers on some of my questions.

Hey, Amber, good idea to look around the other forums, too. I don't venture away from the Cattle Drive much yet.
JdJ, did you find some good hints for OOP-4?

Nope, nothing I could use.
A hint here and a hint there from Marilyn got me to my current attempt. I must be pretty close now I recon .

I must say OOP-4 was for me the most fulfilling assignment so far.

My previous laptop never exploded like that. Read this tiny ad while I sweep up the shards.
