What is the recommended framework which stripes plays well with in middle tier and database tier?
You can use any framework really, Stripes plays nicely and won't get in your way.
Popular choices include JPA/Hibernate for the database tier with Stripersist (
http://www.stripes-stuff.org) as a plugin for making the integration a breeze.
In the middle tier, Stripes has built-in support for Spring dependency injection. In the book, I also demonstrate how to integrate Guice.
Also, do you talk about other frameworks in your book?
Yes, I demonstrate how to use the following frameworks and libraries with Stripes:
* Display Tag
* Tiles and SiteMesh (although I recommend using Stripes' own reusable layout mechanism)
* Stripersist
* JPA
* Hibernate
* Spring
* Guice
*
JUnit *
Mockito * Stripes-Security (plugin also available from
http://www.stripes-stuff.org) * Prototype
* jQuery
You will learn a lot of interesting techniques in this book!
