The following line of code seems to be causing the exception:
java.lang.ClassCastException: com.ibm.ws.portletcontainer.core.impl.ActionRequestImpl incompatible with javax.portlet.RenderRequest

Does anyone know why I cannot do this cast? Also, if this is not the correct way... how can I retrieve the RenderRequest object from a HttpServletRequest object so I can access the portlet preferences values?

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
