The Matrix, Brahm Stoker's Dracula, Heathers, and Romy and Michelles High School Reunion.
If you know them, you don't need a description. If you don't, you're missing out

But the pithy description is the best part!
(Seen them all except for Dracula. Have Heathers on DVD but haven't watched it yet. Need to rewatch it before looking at the special features.)

    MJ: some Indian movies...
I can only remember seeing one Indian movie -- some classic involving the friendship between a postmaster in a remote village and the young girlservant who works for him.
Guess I should go rent something from my local Bollywood Video.

I totally agree, Marilyn's description of Alien makes it sound educational...
"On the way home to Earth, a small team of miners discovers a new life form."
I went with Matrix, What about Bob?, and 200 Cigarettes.

If I had to give a description for the Matrix it it would be Jm's favorite movie
JM is our 11 year old son, Jonathan Mauritz. He loves the Matrix. I bought the DVD version to test my DVD player on the new notebook, and he has watched it twice already on the notebook

Michael: Try Lagaan. Its nominated for Oscar in the best foreign film category this year. It has sub-titles to help you understand better. The movie is about village people playing a cricket match with their colonial masters[ British ] to avoid paying tax. These people are already facing a severe drought crisis and a sadist Englishman challenges them to play a game totally alien to them and gives a 3 month time to learn it.
I hope it got you interested.
    cheers

You'll enjoy the match, Jdj. Will the villagers succeed? A nail-biting finish.
MM: What's the name of the Indian movie you had seen? I am not aware of it at all.

I used "qwerty" and "asklasklaskl " and such to test the video servlet. BUT if I had to use real data:
    1. Looking for Richard, Al Pacino/Kevin Spacy, drama, A film I wish I had I seen when I was 14 years old - about bringing Shakespeare's drama to those who hated this stuff at skool.
    2. Dark Star, starring "the bomb", comedy?, A bedtime story for your dark side: a time saving substitute for 2001.
    3. The Straight Story, Richard Farnsworth/Sissy Spacek, action?, also a substitute for 2001 but with feeling, another film I wish I had seen 40 years ago... a long slow journey to visit a long lost relation.
