Hi friends,

I have less experiance and want to know what are the key factors according to which the particular technology like java or .net is chosen for developing the project.
And also in that talking more specific, which framework such as in java you can use struts, ejb etc. also i want to know which database on what criteria selected?

Regards,
Vijay Jamadade

The key factors are usually pointy-haired.

Sometimes they are more real that that.

But its always just an engineering choice. Things like:

what technology do your existing staff have?

or what does the folks you can hire have?

Many copies of Oracle have been sold because all the other big companies use Oracle. There are things that Oracle does well, and some things it does that may be "better" than what say MySql does. But MySql is free or very low cost, so how much are those 'better' features worth?

The key factors for deciding on a technology are very similar to the key factors for deciding on a forum.

It all depends on which Meaningless Drivel forum you post something meaningful in.
