But its always just an engineering choice. Things like:
what technology do your existing staff have?
or what does the folks you can hire have?
Many copies of Oracle have been sold because all the other big companies use Oracle. There are things that Oracle does well, and some things it does that may be "better" than what say MySql does. But MySql is free or very low cost, so how much are those 'better' features worth?
