HI,

I am an experienced WAS admin but do not have an java coding experience. I want to learn to develop portlets for WAS portal.

Can someone tell me what is the starting point and what are the prerequisites concepts for portlet development.

How much java coding experience is required.

your help is appreciated

To start with, please check your private messages for an important administrative matter.

Also, do not post in all bold -- it makes your post hard to read. I've fixed that for you.

Also, please be sure to take the time to compose descriptive subjects for your posts; read this for more information.

A title such as "SOS!!!" is not helpful. What would happen if all posts had such a title?

I've also fixed that.

You won't be able to do anything until you develop a good grasp of basic Java. That's where to start.
