I woke up this morning to the local paper I read having the cover story and largest text on the page:
iSnobs - iPad users 'selfish elitists
Wait a minute. I own an iPad. My newspaper is insulting me! What a start to the morning.
Then I read the
article. Bunch of fluff. The "study" was a technology firm asking Facebook users questions and learned that iPad owners "are more likely to be business-obsessed snobs who lack altruism and compassion." So we've learned Facebook users are representative of the population and this company doesn't know how to do a study.
The study also "found that people making more than $200,000 a year were four times more likely than the average Joe to have one" - Really? People who earn a lot of money bought an expensive gadget. Shocked.
You'd think there was no news to report that this got the cover story.
