Whenever a exception thrown in the server side, it is shown in the client browser. If I flush the buffer manually, then it won't be shown. What is the internal mechanism?
For Example,

As you all know, a java.lang.IllegalStateException will be thrown. But, it won't be shown to the client. If I don't flush it, then who writes these exception to the client side?

Thanks!

Hello, Abimaran.

There another ways of doing it.

* You can set a configuration at you web.xml to capture it.
* Or you could just try/catch your exceptions.

Take a look at this post here "Handling Exceptions on WebApp". I wrote this post a coople weeks ago.

It might help you.

Thanks, but, I know how to handle it. But want to know why they do this? And how?
