You want a tab interface? What type of application are you trying to model in a web page?

A application where menu will be there on left side.

on click of items under menu new page is opened inside a target frame.

instead of opening new page inside frame..it should open it in window and window will be embedded inside frame..if other item is click previous will be minimized and new will be shown.

this kind of functionality.

thanks .

Sounds like you either want to use frames [would not recommend that] or start getting your hands dirty using Ajax.

Dialog windows: http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/
Tabs: http://jqueryui.com/demos/tabs/
Ajax loading content: http://api.jquery.com/load/

Example applications? Gmail, hotmail, yahoo mail, google maps, etc.

Or, are you really trying to make a web application that looks like a Windows 95 application?
