OP: Please help me to do X, how to configure within Y.

Me: Edit the xxx.config file within Y specifying the X within the foobar section.

OP: I don't want to have to edit the xxx,config file because [insert stupid reason here such as: our IT department forbids it; I want to do things in a "standard" manner; I don't want to change any files that come with X]. Please tell me another way to configure X within Y.

Me: Scotch, please. Better make that a triple!
