Hi,

I have been working with java for few years and am scjp certified.

Looking for a book with good coneceptual guidance for J2ee application design and architecture. Good for a beginner architect may be? Not specifically for SCEA but to be the first steps towards it. Can you please help me find one?

Thanks!

Gurpreet,
Welcome to CodeRanch!

The JEE tutorial is actually pretty good for learning about the JEE architecture. If you are looking for real world info too, I recommend reading about Spring as well since it is well used.

Thanks Jeanne! I will check the tutorial.
Also found out about this book on google and planning to purchase it. Any reviews/comment on this anyone?

Gurpreet,
I read that book when it first came out and it was good. However, I wouldn't recommend it now. Too much has changed since 2002 as far as technology and best practices.
