Hello Ranchers,

Today i cleared Part 1 with 90%, i didn't expected my score to touch 90 mark as i just studied for 1 month (avg. 5 hours a day) and have absolutely no exp. on major techs like Web services, EJB3, JSF, security. Also, i got a score in 80s in all mock tests and expected real exam to be tougher but i managed better may be because i learnt a lot from mock tests and improved my understanding. I spent around 1/4 of my study time on mock questions and i believe this is the best way to study because you see same things from different aspects that you never thought of while actually studying that topic.

I know most of us (running against time) have already given part 1 but for those who still are studying for part 1, here is what all i studied (quickly):

1) Fav. of all - Mark Cade and Humprey sheil book
2) For most other left over topics for details - J2EE5 tutorial by Sun
3) Original book of Core J2EE patterns and GoF patterns

<Remaining links removed, as at least some of them are illegal, and I am not going to work through them determining which are valid and which are not>

Thanks to all fellow ranchers for helping me achieving this. I hope (rather pray ) i will be able to complete part 2&3 before the DEADLINE

Regards,
Dev

Excellent score, well done!

You should be able to finish part 2 and 3 in the time left, I did mine in under a month although I haven't had the scoreback yet...

Good luck!
