Welcome Authors!

I have a copy of the original book and learned a lot about HTML using your book.

But I think there's a problem at the top of the link for the amazon link of the book regarding the book promotion

It still points to the old amazon book Head First HTML
whereas I think it should be Head First HTML 5

Anyhow, it could be my browser or I am just wrong.

Good luck authors!

Thank you! We're really happy to be here, and look forward to your questions about HTML5! As we talk about in the book, we see HTML5 in the broad sense as a collection of new features for building web applications, including HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Our new book focuses almost exclusively on the JavaScript aspects of HTML5, but I'm happy to answer other questions too, about new elements and so on.

Elisabeth

p.s. the link to our current book, Head First HTML5 Programming is: http://www.amazon.com/Head-First-HTML5-Programming-JavaScript/dp/1449390544/

Thanks for pointing that out!

Howdy, folks!

Really liked the book. Gave it 9 horseshoes in my review. Keep up the good work!

Recently, for OCPWCD I read Head First Servlets and JSP and found that book to be the most awesome one I have ever read. You guys really pay a lot of attention to maintain the focus of the reader. So looking forward to go through Head First HTML 5.

Thanks to everyone at JavaRanch for hosting this Q&A forum this week: we really appreciate all your questions!

You can keep up with us at http://wickedlysmart.com.

Our next Head First-related project is to update our Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML book to reflect the new direction (ie, HTML5 instead of XHTML) since we wrote it. We'll be including some of the new HTML5 elements, as well as some CSS3 properties. Fortunately, much of the book is just fine, so we're hoping it will be a fairly easy update (although with Head First, nothing is "easy", but it's always FUN!).

Cheers,

Elisabeth
