Here's the scoop:

- Right now I have good i-net bandwidth.
- Soon, I won't.

I want to capture a youtube video and put the video file on my laptop, so i can play it back later - without the internet.

What's this even called?

Anyone know of software that can do this?

Thanks!

try BBFlashBack ... it's not free either but yes it can actually record the whole screen and even a part of it ... just like the video that you want ...

cheers ...

BTW ... why don't you download it

You could save it directly using the Firefox extension DownloadHelper.

Or with your iPad, there is a TubeDownloader app. I think that is what it is called. I don't know why Apple approved it, but you can download YouTube videos with it. Or, if you have it jailbroken, there are a few YouTube downloading apps like MxTube.

Unfortunately, my app TubeOrganizer does not have downloading capabilities, because Apple said they would reject such apps.

Check out

Free app lets you download 4 videos, but the paid is unlimited.

Good Luck

Mark
