Hollander is currently seeking an experienced Architect/Manager for Plymouth/Minneapolis, MN.

Summary
As a senior level professional, the Architect Manager role primarily designs and builds software products to increase customer efficiency and profitability and increase Hollander revenues. This person works with multiple teams to ensure business and application requirements are understood and translated in to technical solutions that meet the above customer needs. Typical duties include the direct supervision of application developers across multiple development projects and timelines. This person will also collaborate with peers and senior management on establishing business and product goals, creation of project plans, the execution of project plans and development activity while following organizational principles and industry best practices for building software. A strong background in leading and developing web based, client server and mobile solutions is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Provide a high degree of team leadership in the design, development, and implementation of complex software projects and solutions.
•Provide direct supervision of one or more teams of software developers, business analysts, and testers.
•Lead all architecture and design aspects for all product development work to ensure best of breed solutions.
•Develop software products as strategic tools to help Hollander compete in a global environment.
•Analyze emerging technologies to make recommendations for adaptation into past products and be a key contributor in developing roadmaps for future platforms that considers current products, technology and future needs.
•Implement process based approach to meeting organizational and team goals.
•Leverage industry knowledge and best practices, development experience and skills across multiple technology platforms, languages and tool sets to succeed as an Architect/Development Manager.
•Translate business/customer problems and ambiguous requirements into technical solutions without detailed design specifications and coach/mentor application developers in the process.

EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
•Minimum of 4 years leading teams of software developers, analysts, and other professionals.
•12+ years experience in Microsoft technologies including VB 6.0, VB.Net, ASP.Net, and C#.Net.
•12+ years of professional experience in database design and development, preferably MS SQL.
•12+ years of professional experience of complementary technologies used for developing applications including JavaScript, JSON, JQuery, AJAX, XML, windows frameworks such as WPF, WCF, and WWF, security aspects of registration, authentication, and authorization, and patterns such as MVVM and MVC 3.
•8 years professional experience using service oriented architectures including REST services, web services and using enterprise service bus for developing n-tier applications.
•5 plus years developing external facing web sites used in ecommerce. Experience with cloud based systems a plus.
•Experience with building social networking applications using technologies such as Facebook API, Facebook Connect, Open Graph, etc., as well as work with mobile platforms in a professional setting is a strong plus.
•Strong working knowledge of content management systems
•Strong working knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodology.
•Requires practical understanding of continuous integration (CI) process and best practices.
•Ability to accurately establish the length and difficulty of tasks and projects and set reasonable objectives, anticipate and adjust for problems/roadblocks and measure results against goals.
•Ability to effectively communicate with others at all levels of the company both verbally and in writing.
•Ability to communicate technical issues in laymen’s terms.
