At school?
In general. Telling my teachers I know better.
Redoing a test to get a 10 instead of 9 score (10 is max here.)
If I had another answer than what was written in the schoolbook, I told the teacher the question (and/or answer) was wrong.
During a language exam, I gave my dictionary to a girl that had forgotten hers, telling her I did not need it, since I would get a high score anyway. (After first hating my guts, she loved me after that moment.)

I'm not a camp-on-the-sidewalk nerd, but I did stand in line for three hours to see Episode 1 on its opening day. It still wasn't worth it. I've also gone to Comic Con twice, but it's only a 20 minute drive for me, and there are always attractive females in skimpy costumes.

Went to Gen-Con in the summer of '85 with two high school friends (we would be seniors in the fall). Had Gary Gygax sign my PHB, and asked him what "TSR" stood for.

Then, to top off the "nerdiest" thing, I bragged about it on this website.

I bought my wife a USB splitter for a Christmas present.

Although I have to say, she was delighted when she found out what it did.

You can stay with me! I'm now more like a 30 minute drive away though. About the same time, there will be the annual Over-The-Line Tournament at Fiesta Island, where, if anything, the attractiveness-to-amount-of-covering ratio is even higher ... in some cases approaching infinity. You can Google that too, but probably not from work. I'm going to try to convince my wife we should go since it's an important part of San Diego culture.

Jelle, you're welcome to come too, as long as you two don't badmouth me in Dutch!

My most recent nerdy thing was to use DD-WRT to repurpose a Buffalo WHR-G54S wireless router into a wireless bridge so I don't have to run cat5 from my DSL modem to my smart TV and blueray player.

Oh, okay... I guess asking my dominatrix to wear a Star Trek uniform was a little nerdy.

Especially if it was Major Kira's uniform.

I love doing maths (especially calculus, even though I'm way past it now), was crazy about organic chemistry, and love all things computers (programming, gaming, etc). Just not the buying and selling part! (i.e., what does this cost, what does that sell for)

It's good to be a learning-friendly person. For example, whatever I learned in Operating Systems in Sem 4, helped me clear my outlook on Java threads (critical section).

Nowadays I'd say I'm a gaming nerd. Battlefield 3 is very addictive

I also love reading. Sherlock Holmes is a particular favourite.

It is not very hard to deduce that I have few friends :P

I'm jealous. One of these days I'd like to attend GenCon.
