I have an online examination project prepared . But i need to add an countdown timer which has to start from 30mins and start decaying and at end of 30mins it should display time up .. i tried implemented this but i have this problem every time I refresh or navigate from 1 page to another i.e. to go to next question , the timer resets and again restarts from 30mins .

Please tell me what i m supposed to do to keep the timer running irrespective of page refreshing or navigating to next question.

Keep track of the timer value in the session.
