Issue with auto complete

Hi all,

I am using autocomplete feature of primefaces.
In that I can specify after how many minimum characters the autocomplete functionality should work.
Now instead of number of character, I want to initiate the autocomplete functionality when user clicks "Down arrow" button.

How can I achieve the above in Primefaces or if there any other composite component that can help me.

Help is appreciable.
