Hi All,

I am new to Spring framework. It is mentioned in the book

the class[AbstractController ] marks the handleRequest() method as
final, to be closed for modification

But when i was going through the API , i found that this method is not marked as final. Am i studying old version or i do have old API

I am studying through Seth Ladd and Donald books published in the year 2006

Kindly help.

That book isn't real current but at the same time its not far off. You know that 2 years in the tech world is 10 years everywhere else. Without more info I can't help though. What version of the Spring API are you using?

I would say no, based on its Javadocs

http://static.springframework.org/spring/docs/2.5.x/api/index.html
