Heh, back in the early 80s I had pretty much coined the term
Java-driven development to mean
coffee goes in, software comes out. Of course, in the mid 90s
Java started meaning something completely different.
In one of my less-than-favorite jobs, the company practiced fear-driven development. Not good.
I'd call my current gig pride-driven development. It's a good group that takes pride in their work.
My favorite is fun-driven development: software that one writes just because it's fun and interesting.
