I am able to build an application and generate ear files from wsad/irad.
Is it possible to generate ant build file from the ide, so I can use that build file and be able to generate ear file on the command line?
Thanks

Bala,
IBM provides an ant task called <earExport> that will do this.

Jeanne,
Can you please give me details? Does it generate the build file? What is the task name?

Bala,
Sorry about that. I reread my post and realize I didn't explain what "this" refers to. The task is called "earExport" and will export an ear just like WSAD/RAD does. It doesn't generate the build file.

Take a look at this thread. It explains that you need to run your build script in the same JVM as Eclipse - either in the workspace or in a headless build.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
