Pinoccio!!!
Actually this isn't a question on 9ais, just a wake up call. There has been very little action here for a few days. Does everyone understand Oracle that well.

Too busy at work these days! Or the questions were mostly on Java or Xml or javascript.
I hope you meant to write 9IAS.
Aha! one question just came up in my mind!!
Can we have multiple files listed in one control file for loading into multiple tables(sql*loader)? Any issues with that? What happens when default errors(50) reached in one of the files? Does it quit?
Best Regards
Beksy

well I haven't done multiple, but I know in Oracle 9i you can, plus you always can declare a "BadRecords" table that takes the records that don't get loaded.
It you have 50 default errors and that is what it is set to, yes it quits loading. Many first hand knowledge there.

I know that sqlldr quits when it reaches the default errors in the bad file. But my question was about the bad file when we have multiple files in one control file for multiple tables(if at all it is possible). Does it wait till it finishes all the files or quit as soon as any of the bad file gets the 50 records.
Thank you for your answer. We made the forum alive!!

Atif, I am creating a new thread for you question. This thread was only to get activity into this forum, so I doubt people will take the thread serious enough to get to the bottom and see you post, and I want you to get some responses back to help you.
You will find the new post here.
