I just found out I passed too! I came back from a week-long vacation and almost missed the email!

Congrats to all who passed, and best of luck trying again to those who didn't quite make it. Be sure to email Evelyn if you passed part 1 -- you can start with part 2 instead of re-taking part 1. I had emailed her and asked if I would have to re-take part 1 if I didn't pass part 2/3 and she said I would not since I had already passed it. Don't give up!!

Cheers,
Jim

The certification package that I got today for the SCEA5 included:
- the certificate of passing
- a cover letter
- and a link to get the logos

No scores or scores breakdown as yet. I was expecting that as part of the certification package but not to be.

Likewise, my packet arrived this morning (and that surprises me - not that it arrived today, but that my postal worker was actually by our house before noon). Can't tell you how much I like seeing that packet (though, I do miss the way the certificates looked in 2001 when I started taking the certifications).

Now, just a question of how long until the grade reports arrive - those are coming, if memory serves, from Prometric directly, and take a bit to get out.

I doubt we'll see the score breakdown, or even the score total. For SCEA they normally publish this in certmanager.net/sun_assignment but there is noething there. When I did SCEA 1.2 I didn't get a score sheet in the mail.

I was not sure about the result based on email, but it does appear that I am also certified too!.

I respectfully disagree, if only because they're going to have to tell candidates in the future how they did, as it was fairly clear that Sun would be good about telling candidates what sections they failed on. It would be silly for them not to tell us... and besides - we generally receive a grade report in the mail (snail mail) for Beta exams from Sun. I do not see any reason why this exam would be different.

I agree, it would be silly. Still I think they will be exactly that, silly. As several other people have stated in other forums, the assignment said that you will only get a pass, and no socres (except in the case of failure).

I'd love to have the scores, but I don't think we will get them. Simply because it will require a lot of effort. When you get the score sheets for other betas it is because the data has been put directly into prometric's database, this is probably not the case with the manual grading process for the assignment.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I will be ;-)

Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE 5, Part 3 - Passed

Prometric candidate history says this.

What about Part 2?

Finally after a long wait it is light at the end of tunnel

Good luck for the rest

I have not received a certification email yet.

What can you do if one accidentally deletes it as spam?
Who can I contact?

Cheers!

I know this is an old thread, but I just found out that I passed the beta and I had to post. WAHOO!!

I have no idea what happened but about ten days ago I got an email from Prometric saying, "Your results have been sent to assessor, but haven't been graded yet. We apologize for this problem, and are checking to see how soon your test can be graded." You can probably guess how I felt...

Well, I still haven't heard back from them. But,when I checked the certmanager site a few minutes ago it said that as of 12/19/07 I am a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5.

What a great day this has been!

Congratulations, Arthur!

Funny thing is that even though they just posted the results last night, it says I was certified 12/19/07.

Cool. I sort of figured it would be when they scored the submission...

The important this is I passed. Now I'm just waiting for the email and the packet with the pin and certificate. No worries.
