Well, I just got my first look at the Calendar JavaBean that Oracle has for Forms. And you can modify them.
Here are instructions.
1. Make the change to the class(s).
2. Run their makepjc.bat on your Forms Server. This will recompile, remake the JavaDocs and make the jar file for you.
3. Use the new jar file
It is that easy
In the CalendarWidgetWrapper class I added one Constant called ENABLED

Then in the setProperty method, I added

Now you can enable or disable the button that gets added to the form.
It was that quick and easy.
So my point is; Don't be afraid to modify JavaBeans for Forms, because it is really easy to do.
