I am having difficulty in interfacing with legacy code that uses named pipes for communication between processes. I am required to use Java and J2EE in future projects. The idea is not to rewrite the legacy code but I am beginning to see no other way. Does anyone have any comments on using Java with named pipes on Windows NT and Windows 2000 OSes.
