Can Ruby replace perl script?

We use a lot of perl script for running repettive commands.can ruby do the same ? Is it right to use ruby?

In my experience, Ruby does make a good substitute for Perl.

Python is also quite powerful and in my opinion a clear improvement over Perl. While I personally prefer Ruby over Python, I don't think Ruby will ever replace Python.
