Hi All,

Im glad to say that I am now SCJP certified!

How I did it:

1. Read K&B SCJP5 book

Try all the end-of-chapter questions and ensure that you fully understand the two minute drills

2. Attempt all whizlabs questions on each objective

This will test your understanding on each objective and where you should practice more

3. Code, code and code

Use examples from the K&B book, whizlabs. Try to mix objectives as this is how questions might be in the actual exam

4. Do practice questions in Inquisition

You should be passing these comfortably

5. Do all Whizlabs mocks

You should be achieving 70% plus in the mocks

6. Try Devaka's exam simulator mocks

These mock are tricky and tough but they are well worth trying.

7. Post any queries and problems with SCJP to the JavaRanch forum

There is always someone to help with any questions

8. Try to help others who post to JavaRanch forum especially in the SCJP forum

This not only gets you thinking about problems that others face but by answering questions this further reinforces your understanding of the topic

In a nutshell it takes a lot of hard effort and practice to become SCJP certified.

Thanks to all the JavaRanchers who have helped me on my journey to acheiving SCJP5!!!
