Thought this was a pretty funny product:

Pawsense

When cats walk or climb on your keyboard, they can enter random commands and data, damage your files, and even crash your computer. This can happen whether you are near the computer or have suddenly been called away from it.

PawSense is a software utility that helps protect your computer from cats. It quickly detects and blocks cat typing, and also helps train your cat to stay off the computer keyboard.

The best thing about that ad is that the cat pictured looks JUST LIKE MY CAT!!!...who, incidentally, likes to stand on my desk in front on my monitor while I'm using the computer. He also tried to attack the paper as it comes out of my printer.

Does your cat also like attacking the mouse pointer on the screen when you move it around?

One other thing I have learned here at JavaRanch. If Jess posts in Meaningless Drivel, you have to check it out because it is always funny/cool and must see.

I bet he would attack the pointer. He's usually too busy trying to climb on to the keyboard drawer because it's three inches closer to me than the desk is. He's a bit codependent.

My cat (Milton) has his own computer. I had to install software that "quickly detects cat typing, and translates the input into distinct, properly ordered keystrokes."

As soon as I had this set up for him, he ordered the upgrade version, which "quickly detects and blocks human typing, and also helps train your human to stay off the computer keyboard."

Every time I see this thread title, I imagine someone using the software, getting this error message, and responding by pounding slowly on the keys to get it to accept their input. Sounds like a scheme to sell more replacement keyboards, if you ask me...
