Congratz to a great score!
I don't think you need to write an essay or so to answer the questions. I just wrote a few lines and was very concise, that worked.

Yes - I probably took the exam for grantedOne should never do this..But I am glad that the exam was quite tough this makes it more valuable and more recognizable in the business.

Today (the day after the exam) Im very pleased with my result and as you said, A PASS IS A PASS!

Cleared SCWCD this morning with more trouble than I had counted for.

I've been developing web apps for about three years now and thought this certification would be quite simple. However, the exam this morning was more difficult than a thought and what I've read from this forum.

I used the HFSJ book (excellent by the way) and did some free mock exams. Some topics on the exam were more difficult than the mock exam questions in the book and I must be one of few people who scored better on the test exam in the HFSJ book than on the real exam...Maybe SUN has a special edition exam for people with an Enterprise Architect Certification . I definitely needed to use all my experience to manage all the design pattern questions on the exam.

Best regards from a cold and snowy Sweden,

I just found out that I cleared part 2 so now I am a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect! The following is from the assignment watcher database:

Test: Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition Technology Part II (310-061)
Date Taken: 2006-07-02 15:30:23.717

Site: sw33
Grade: P
Score: 84

This report shows the total points that could have been awarded in each section and the actual amount of points you were awarded. This information is provided in order to give you feedback on your relative strengths on a section basis. The maximum number of points you could have received is 100, minimum to pass is 70.
Class Diagram (44 maximum) 35
Component Diagram (44 maximum) 37
Sequence/Collaboration Diagrams (12 maximum) 12

Not a fantastic score but know I can sleep a bit more relaxed a night. Thank you all ranchers, this forum has been a great help to me!

Just to mention a bit about my assignment; I had one component diagram, seven sequence diagrams and one class diagram (which was an extension from the Business Domain Model (BDM)). I had about ten pages of assumptions and design choices. I also tried to explain why I used the different components and pros/cons of the chosen design patterns.

Once again, thank you all ranchers!

Today I did the first part of the SCEA exam and scored 46 out of 48 correct answers (95%). The Whizlab mock exams was pretty helpful, and the Cade and HeadFirst Design Patterns-books where good too. The Paul Allen book (Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Study Guide) was not very helpful.

Now I'm off to part 2 & 3!
